Instructions to update the EFILive V2 Firmware.

Step	Action	Result
1	Unplug the RJ45 (OBDII) connection and the USB connector from the V2 interface
2	With the USB cable connected to your laptop, hold down the CTRL key on the V2 interface while you plug in the USB cable to the V2 interface.	You should notice that some of the LEDs on the V2 now light and toggle side to side
3	Now open the Firmware Utility File: EFILive_Firmware (c:\program files\EFILive\V7\EFILive_Firmware.exe)	Firmware Update Program is running
4	In the 'Update FlashScan V2:' section of the Firmware Update program, click on the '...' button to locate the firmware file. (c:\program files\EFILive\V7\FSProg_V2_4_55.ffw) NOTE: The ffw file will change as new versions of EFILive are issued. The latest ffw file will come with the update and it will be the only ffw file in the new updated V7 files Folder.	c:\program files\EFILive\V7\FSProg_V2_4_55.ffw will appear in the “Filename” block
5	Once you have located the ffw file, (step 4), click on the 'Program' button.	Firmware Update Program begins to update the FlashScan device. Sometimes the numbers do not go all the way - this is not a problem, it still continues in the background. The FlashScan device will reboot and the update is complete. The FlashScan device screen will now display “FlashScan V2” and the “F1” through “F4” selections.
6	Close the EFILive FlashScan V2 Programmer
