Information Collection

Eric Boggs is the sole owner of the information collected on WWW.LS2.COM.  WWW.LS2.COM collects information from our users during registration on our Web site.

 

Registration

In order to use this Web site, a user must first complete the registration form.  During registration a user is required to select a distinct ID and give a valid email address. It is optional for the user to provide demographic information such as Interests, location, Instant Messenger IDs, etc.

 

Information Use

We use this information to contact the user about threads, on our site for which he/she has expressed interest and to allow members to communicate to each other via e-mail.  Email addresses can be public or private per your request during registration or may be changed in status at any time by you using your CP (Control Panel) to update your information.

 

Profile

We store information that you optionally provide to create a profile of our users.  A profile is stored information that we keep on individual users that detail their viewing preferences.  We do not share your profile with other third parties.

 

Cookies

A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user’s computer tied to information about the user.  Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while on our site.  We use both session ID cookies and persistent cookies.  For the session ID cookie, once users close the browser, the cookie simply terminates.  A persistent cookie is a small text file stored on the user’s hard drive for an extended period of time. Persistent cookies can be removed by following Internet browser help file directions.

 

By setting a cookie on our site, users would not have to log in a password more than once, thereby saving time while on our site.  If users reject the cookie, they may still use our site.  The only drawback to this is that the user will be limited in some functions of our site. 

 

Some of our business partners on our site use cookies (for example, Sponsors).  However, we have no access to or control over these cookies, once we have given permission for them to set cookies for advertising. 

 

Log Files

Like most standard Web site servers we use log files.  This includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, internet service provider (ISP), and date/time stamps to administer the site, track user’s movement on the site.  IP addresses are tied to personally identifiable information to enable our control and use of access to the site.  We also perform a port scan on the IP addresses of the unregistered persons as they access our site to insure that the person accessing our site is NOT using a proxy server to mask their identity.  Proxy server usage is forbidden to access our site and users that try to enter our site using a proxy server will NOT be given access to ANY view or function on our site.

Registrations and Updates

We send all new members a welcoming email to give a password, verify e-mail address and username.  Established members who change their e-mail or request a Pass Word reminder will receive appropriate e-mail information generated by their request.
