What would be awesome is a ground level picture of the C7 laying two black streaks of rubber.

    Bite me!

Here's how the shot was actually done. He didn't give me any of the other shots yet as he's still working on them to remove the pole and stuff.

I was doing around 2 MPH for all of the shots. We stuck the pole out from all 4 corners of the car so I really can't wait to see the rest of the pictures. Tonight (key word, night) we are doing the 2nd half of the shoot and these pictures will rock.

A dead end road in Indian Hill. We're going to Newport tonight for the "night" shots that will have the Cincinnati skyline in the background..

I did a similar rig-shot in my driveway. I should do another in a better location....and with a longer pole so I don't need SUCH a wide angle.

Photographer wanted texture, lines and angles. He found this location buried between two old buildings in downtown Cincinnati.

UP in Mount Adams for this last set. Here's the background.

All of these shots are from my camera without aid of the lighting he uses. These just show the area. I'll post the finals after he assembles the pictures.

Did he have a big, long light bar or something to get that light streak across the side?

The light source was an LED rectangle about the size of a swiffer mop. It can vary in brightness. He holds the light on an extendable pole, sets the brightness, and remotely triggers the camera. The camera takes around 5 seconds of open shutter and while it is open, he walks with the light around a section of car to get the effect he wants. He takes around 10-15 shots that way and then Photoshops the pieces together to make the fully lit car.

How do you like the performance of your C7 vs. your C6?

I don't know if I will do it or not but I have really considered trading my truck in on a Mustang and my wire told me last night that I should get a used Corvette.

If I do anything I will probably go for the Mustang just so I can carry more of the family but she has got me thinking.

Suppose to have a guy from California come look at it next week, but that makes me a little nervous. I'd rather sell it to someone I'm familiar with.

C6 did not have magnetic ride. C7 does and the ride is leaps and bounds better than the C6.
C6 had a lot of mods. C7 came with every mod I installed on the C6 except the E-Force. When the warranty runs out, I'll consider the FI add-on.
C7 seats are more supportive and I like them. The wife, not so much. She preferred the C6 seats.
C7 has better electronics and NAV than the C6.
C7 top goes down by just pushing the button. C6 had to be unlatched and re-latched manually.
C6 top needed the car stopped and e-brake up to operate. The C7 can be opened/closed at speeds lower than 30 MPH.
Gas mileage on the C7 kicks the C6 hard. The 4 banger mode is scary good.
I love the styling and design of the C7. 'nuff said.

I got back from a trip to Cincinnati and averaged 73 MPH and 28.3 MPG. Wow. I went through the Appalachians to make it interesting.

Stock for stock the C7 beats the C6 in performance. The front starts to lift when you dump it at 65. Ay least that's what my son said!

So you drove the Corvette from Jacksonville, FL to Cincy, Ohio. How long does that drive take you?

Very nice job, I love the use of off camera flash. I didn't realize that the C7's side marker lights are in the wheel arches; very cool.

He actually uses an LED bank of lights. I'd say the size of the "Swiffer" mop. The lights can be adjusted in intensity and sits on an extendable pole. He sets the light, remotely triggers the camera for a 5 -6 second exposure and walks the light by the car. He might do one fender, then another, walk the light from front to back, do the hood to the trunk deck, stand in the back of the car with the light shining under the car toward the camera. Then he photo-chops all the pieces together to make the whole picture of the car. Fascinating as hell to watch! I'd guess that he took 15 to 20 shots of the car to make the one picture.

Go for it. The city in the background is a killer backdrop. Your black car would look killer in that background. Plus, black would keep Javier really busy trying to illuminate it!
