My brain just can't comprehend a 9 second car. Back in the '00s if you had a 12 second car you were king of the hill. My best ever in my Firehawk was a 13.1 IIRC. My Model 3 will do a ~11.5 which is serious muscle car territory. The Plaid just makes it look like a clown car. It's so nucking futs. I'm about 90% ready to order a Plaid. I just gotta beg for forgiveness from the the other half cause she'll never approve it. Also talk about freakin weird driving around a car that cost more than my 1st house and almost as much as my 2nd house. Like I just can't fathom parking $130k at Walmart as I go in to pick up some Coke Zero or whatever.

    Still loving the car

Plex works great, which is amazing. Don't mind the "content" - we share our account across folks, haha

Tesla’s are pretty cool. No doubt the quickest cars on the road. But I just took a big leap going from a manual trans DD to an automatic. First time in my life my primary car has an auto. I surely ain’t ready for an EV yet.

Perhaps in a few weeks, I can make a thread similar to yours... but it'll be of something in a bulkier form.

    bahaha

    Ok. So after 4 weeks.

    Cons:
    - There is one fisheye in the paint on the hatch, not terrible, but now I know it's there
    - Water sits under the hood when you wash, only the "frunk" is sealed, so it's a bit more work when drying
    - Wider tires pick up a ton of rocks. I may just be more conscious because it's an expensive new car, but all the construction around has me extra worried about rocks hitting the paint.

    Pros:
    - It was comfortable to move into autosteer, haven't done FSD yet. But you're probably ahead of me on that.
    - Suspension adaption is great, and the handling has been spot on. I really like the feel. It's stiff but controlled, not harsh.
    - Steering input. I've never owned another, but I love the feedback/effort that is required in the steering. Really hits the sweet spot for me. My wife's Rav4 is too easy to steer and feels completely disconnected.

    Other Observations:
    - I've switched to miles instead of battery percent. As a new EV owner, it feels like this drains faster than I thought, but it may also be because I'm watching it like a hawk. I haven't gone below 50% yet.
    - Took it on a trip to toledo, was amazingly comfortable and satisfying for a trip. Would definitely be my favorite road trip car we've owned.
    - The heated/cooled seats - * chef kiss - perfection... This is subtle but extremely effective. HVAC overall is better than any of my other cars and WAY better than my wife's car.

Hmmm... Trying to think of anything else. Since you already have one I imagine it's fairly close, just bigger.

    New gen specific:
    - Yoke is fine. You get used to it. I really like it even after a couple weeks
    - I dislike the turn signal being buttons, but it's something I'll live with
    - Horn - you can't reach it with your thumb... it's just the reality. I wish they would have swapped the hands free button with the horn, and put the wipers as the furthest away. That would have made a ton more sense to me.

I could probably see myself adjusting to the yolk. The no stalks and having to hunt and peck for the turn signals and horn would probably drive me bat shit crazy though.

Seats?! Inn your 9 second car? I'm glad you brought up seats. Cause Tesla addressed the seats.

Odds are better that Darkmatter buys a backup Plaid in case he gets a rock chip over Mike Hawk actually getting one

Beeler and Windham will both finish their first gens before Hawk gets a plaid.

    j/k

That's damn impressive for a 4-door production car.

Again, my mind just assplodes comparing the 3 Perf (or any other car with 500+ torque and traction to back it up) to the Plaid

Did it feel light or squirrely at all @ the big end of the track? How was slowing down from 150+?

Not a single bit of drama. Braking was a bit short at lapeer, but that's the track. The most surprising thing was the launch and the 1/8th. I got tunnel vision for the first time driving a car it was that quick. My supra ran 9.9 but it's more top end then bottom. This made the 1/4 mile feel entirely different, and I loved it.

lol. It'll keep going, that's for sure! Started at 92%, finished at 88% with two runs (had to leave early). I drove an 1.5hr home and had 77% battery. It's honestly better on mileage than my E85 cars.
