I'd have to test drive it first. People who have driven/own both seem to like the 3 better since it's not such a boat. Now the Roadster, I better not ever sit in that thing or I might want it. Still ridiculous sums of money for cars. Maybe if we don't go into a recession here in the next couple years

I lol'd at the fact that he was posting live updates in here like anyone on this forum was actually watching along and paying attention to him.

Buddy got a model Y. I can't believe the fit and finish hasn't improved on Teslas lately. Body panel gaps are off and his rear spoiler/ lip thingy wasn't molded correctly and thus pulls up off the adhesive.

It's impressive sure, but it's an EV so who really cares? It'd be kinda like bringing a UAV to an airshow. Sure they're cool and all but lemme see that old F-22, nah mean?

Good to know; Tesla just ordered a couple of UPS systems from my company. I was worried that they would put them under their QC microscope; I guess not!

There is no way NHTSA approves that right?

Edit- just noticed it goes all the way around the bottom. Thought it was a left and right handle only. Maybe they would approve that then.

So the Model S Long Range is starting to tickle my fancy. It appears a lot of Model 3 Performance people are looking into getting the Plaid's little brother as well. 0-60 time is a tad quicker compared to the 3 but the real killer is that there's no highway 'fall on your face'. The new S, even non-plaid, pulls just as hard from 60-100+ as it does 0-60

No 1/4 mile times yet but estimates are ~11.0 for the S. Model 3 Performance is ~11.5 for reference.

Here's some of the first vids of a refresh S (non-plaid) against the 3 performance. The S pulls by a body 0-60, and several bodies on the highway roll race.

JFC the Plaid is a GAP monster! faint:

There was a compilation highway roll racing against a whole bunch of super cars but the poster took the vid down! Here's just a sample though.

You know it's gotta be a beast when even Brooks grunts and is caught off guard No launch control on city streets and still bringing a 2.28s and 2.19s 0-60

Model S long range is probably best bang for the buck. 3.1 seconds to 60 is plenty fast.

LR quarter miles are starting to come in. 10.8x @ high 12x mph. Probably get a 130 here soon enough

Speculation that Tesla is neutering the LR off the line so it won't cannibalize the Plaid sales and/or there'll be a paid acceleration boost option down the line for the LR.

    None from what I'm seeing.

    Main diff:
    LR = 2 motors
Plaid = 3 motors carbon sleeved so they can take the extra RPM

I'm dying waiting on delivery of the plaid. They had called and offered me wood trim to get it earlier, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. I did blue with black carbon fiber interior. I got in before the prices went up too

I can't wait to f with cars around town.

    My GINGER!

I'm trying to be content with what I have, but seeing vids of the Plaid absolutely GAP the competition to the point it looks like the competition isn't even trying is just mind boggling.

You know they'll probably be uncorking them too just a little bit more once they pour over the thousands of miles logged by new owners.
