Off topic, didn't you have a Copper Roof Project at one time? Is that finished?

    I know the feeling.

If I take rs5 to work, I crank with garage door closed and exhaust in "comfort" mode.

Thanks! So far, I’m extremely happy. Gonna take it on its first day trip (300 miles) tomorrow to visit one of our kids. Then next week, it’s off to Caribou Maine.

LMAO, y’all have gotten a lot of mileage out of that joke. Surely you can find some new material on me.

Trip was great. Hit triple digits for the first time with my son in law (and personal lawyer) in the car. Oh and adaptive cruise control, where have you been all my life?

Some folks hate ACC... my wife's Lexus has it and it's pretty nice, but thankfully, you can turn it off so it's just a normal cruise.

My wife hates cruise control period.

This thing can do both regular and ACC too.

I use cruise control all the time. When we drive the jeep into Assateague, there’s a few miles of 25mph to get into the national park. I set the cruise and let it go.

I know the JLs have ACC, but I've heard it's not as good as it is on other vehicles, so I wasn't too bummed when I realized that I left it off my order list when I ordered my '19. However, the next Jeep will have it.

ACC wasn’t available on our ‘18 JL.

It was on my '19. It was included in the safety package... It was a $1,500 option, IIRC and included the blind monitoring, some other bullcrap, and the ACC. All I wanted was the ACC.

I'm not a fan of it. I'm also not a driver that has their head buried in their phone or just generally an inattentive shit while driving so I don't really like a lot of the electronic nannies that are out there today.

She doesn't use her phone when driving. Hands free, FTW. And she usually has that off, but sometimes, it does come in useful. When we were moving, she loved it b/c she paced the uHaul perfectly and it made it a lot easier ride for her.

I'll switch w/ having the ACC on and off, but the other stuff, I can't stand. Lane assist, beeping when too close to objects, etc.

I wasn't implying that she was. Sorry if it came across that way. My point was that those kind of drivers are the reason that so many of the nannies are here today. They're generally just an annoyance to me. More buttons I have to push to turn off when I get in the car.

Agreed. I couldn't believe how many were on my mom's Highlander. That thing would beep about everything. Waaaaay too many safety nets on that thing... on top of it being an insanely boring snoozefest of a driving experience.

I'm like your wife and hate it. Well hate might be a strong word but I never use it. As far as I know it has never been used on my 6th gen, I would have to look to even see how to turn it on.

But I’m here to tell you, your mom’s Highlander’s backseat is roomy.

Trust me, these “nannies” are a good thing for the public in general and will prevent millions of collisions annually.

Using ACC in stop and go or slow n go traffic is a blessing. Don't understand the "get off my lawn" approach to such things.

I haven't tried it at low speeds just yet. Driving to Rockport MA on Thursday so I'm sure I'll have plenty of opportunity.

On the wife's JGC it will do full stop and start if the stop is less than 3 seconds I think. But works really well in the accordion traffic.

Same w/ my mom's highlander and the IS. I wanted to see how slow it'd go and just let it go down to a stop.

    Just returned from our trip.

    Ocean City MD

    Rockport MA

    Caribou ME

    Quoddy Station ME

    Bar Harbor ME

    Hyannis MA (ferry to Nantucket)

Drop off daughter and BF in Philly then back to OC.

About 2500 miles. Charger was awesome and comfortable. No complaints. But it is filthy.

Yeah, it sucks but it’s not terrible. Some careful touch up should make it barely noticeable.

I don’t like the line they leave, unless it can be applied in a crease. PITA to clean and it seems to become dingy over time, looking slightly different than the rest of the body without the film. Though, I imagine that’s less evident the darker the paint.
