Are you going to need a trailer for that thing? I have one at the moment and happen to be headed your way if you'd like to buy it.

It is indeed a real 1970 Trans Am.

It is Polar White and came with Blue deluxe interior (been converted to Black at the moment), 4 speed M21, 12 Bolt 3.73 gear.

Thanks guys! I cant tell you how excited I am to have it. Ive always wanted a 70 TA. My 69 TA, 70 Judge, 63 Le Mans none of them got me as excited as this does.

It will eventually get restored back to original or at least close. But for now Im going to enjoy racing it and see how fast we can go.

Current combo is a 484 Pontiac (IA2 block) and standard Highport heads. Lots of compression but not a wild combo by any stretch. Its still very streetable if you can stomach the fuel bill and 4 flowmasters (which sound awesome). Currently has a T400 and 3.90 pro gear. Im going to race it as is until Im used to it then it is probably getting a fogger. Eventually it will be turbo and fuel injected at some point but for now I just want to enjoy it the way it is.

Ill add more pictures and videos once it arrives. Hopefully race and cruising videos as well. It could use a good detail and I want to replace a few things like the carpet for starters. It will probably get updated wheels as well, although it looks pretty cool as is with the draglites.

Love the ass end of 70-73 TA’s

The suspension will be updated at some point to lower the ride height a bit. It has an old school south side machine bolt-in lift bar set up on it. I’ve been eyeballing some of the new Detroit Speed stuff as a replacement. That being said the suspension works really well as is (1.40 60’ times)

Yep, sure are. They are later big car rally’s (5 on 5” pattern). I’m going to blast them and repaint them once the trailer gets here. I really like the Pontiac vibe they add to the trailer.

    She’s here boys!!!

The TA definitely needs a bath but she made it without any damage. Transport company was great. Nice guys. They were scared of it so they asked me to pull it off the transport. I still can’t believe it’s here already. It got picked up Friday night in PA and they called me yesterday saying they would be here (SanDiego CA) between 11am-3pm today. I just topped it off with more 110 octane but I’m stuck working so no fun today.

You’ll also see she had good company on the transport… 2020 GTR

Nice buy and can't wait to see the build as I'm sure you're going to do it justice. If I remember right, you used to have a really nice 64 GTO right?

Yep, Kevin in the Philly burbs. I had been trying to buy it since December 2019. It was for sale but he wasnt very active with trying to get it sold if that makes sense. Once we finally exchanged numbers everything worked out. Great guy! Hes looking for a 68 or 69 GTO convertible. If anyone has any leads Ill pass them along.

Thanks! Yeah Im making a list of things I want to update/change. First will be some fuel system changes and then Im thinking of converting the black interior back to the original bright blue deluxe it originally came with. Possibly something close to this since safety is a factor. Although it will have kirkey seats (my current seats are like these pictured but in black).

When Im done racing and having fun it will be restored back to its original form.

And yes I had a 63 Tempest Le Mans that was a pretty nice build. Lots of top tier parts. I sold it a while back and its in PA now. Running 10.40s with his engine set-up last I heard.

    Nope

Clean car for the money regardless of miles, but I had to cater for travel/shipping all the way from Cali, so I bailed

Had it been closer, I would've kept bidding

Yeah, it took him a while before he got back to me

In fact I had already bought another by the time he did

Didn't matter as race gas was a no go for me

Thanks! Yeah race gas is expensive but it smells so damn good Luckily I have a station that sells 110 octane out of the pump for $8 a gallon a couple miles away. It currently only has a 5 gallon fuel cell. First upgrade will be a 20 gallon cell. Then possibly E85.

Your Ram Air III TA is gorgeous! Ive watched your YouTube driving videos a bunch of times. Im looking forward to seeing more progress on you Ram Air IV TA.

I need to figure out how you make those TA keychains unless you want to make one for me?

5 gals cell? So do you have to stop every time you take it out? If it's a couple miles away by the time you go there and home you probable already used a gallon or 20% of the cell.

This is probably accurate Ive only had the car for a week but yes it drinks gas like crazy. Totally worth the $8 a gallon. Shit our regular 91 octane gas is $4.70 a gallon so its not a huge difference.

Im looking forward to the new larger cell and possible E85. There are quite a few things I want to update but most are cosmetic. One is converting the interior to deluxe bright blue (like below) which will look fantastic. Right now its black.

This was my third car but the first I bought new. 1981 Formula. I ordered it with no decals, no radio, 4 speed manual and the biggest baddest engine you could get at the time. A 305 with about 210hp as I recall.

Just out of curiosity, are you licensed, bonded and insured?

Nope. I'm not in business so I don't need all that. I'm just helping people out.

So someone shipping a car with you is taking an incredible risk with a valuable asset. Especially considering some of the places you stay overnight.

My insurance covers only liability for anything I tow. If the owner's insurance won't cover everything else, they have to find an alternate solution. As is the case right this moment. The trailer isn't nearly as valuable as the car itself, so the car went with the carrier that has insurance for what they're transporting. If the trailer gets damaged/totalled the cost to replace it isn't nearly as costly.

So in one thread you're gonna criticize me about sketchy hotels and in the other you're gonna criticize me for spending too much. Got it.

Yeah I think mine with the mighty 2 barrel carb had 180 hp

My current interior. I'm thinking of switching it to bright blue

Also, I haven't cleaned my car yet

Going with the 2-tone or single blue?
My RA4 is 2-tone and the RA3 single.
Not sure which one I like more

My TA is code 211 which is the deluxe bright blue two-tone. I really like how it looks. I just lucked out on Tuesday and found a standard 1970 back seat locally that I can use as a core for the switch to bright blue.

I bet the two-tone in your IV car looked super green. They faded with sun exposure and got lighter and greener. Do you have any pics of your IV car? I haven't seen it in years

Yeah I would remove the cage and go back to factory original.

Although I say that admitting that I have very little desire to track my cars.

You don’t have any track worthy cars anyway.
